Letter to the editor: Voters were disenfranchised or deprived of the right to vote

(The following Letter to the Editor has been submitted by Paul Corbin of
Decorah):

"The right to vote is imperative to maintaining our Democracy.

At first I thought that a bipartisan committee was a good thing.  But when
the committee  is 3 Republicans against 2 Democrats it is not.  3 to 2 are
not good odds!

Then I figured that if the Post Office thought the votes were on time, that
was good.

Across the state 1,027 late arriving ballots were rejected.  These votes
were disenfranchised or deprived of the right to vote."
