Both teams from the Decorah Robotics Club have qualified to continue on to the Super Qualification match being held this coming Saturday in Sioux City at Western Iowa Technical Community College.
The "Wacky Waving Inflatable Arm Flailing Tube Men and Women" (junior/senior team) and the "Norwegian Ninjas" (freshmen/sophomore team) both advanced by making it to the final playoff round at the League Championship.
The upper-class team was also awarded the Rockwell Collins Innovate Award for having the most innovative solutions to managing this season's obstacle course.
The Super Qualifier is one of two events held in Iowa, each consisting of 24 robotics teams from around the state, and is the competition level before the state tournament held at the end of February.
The Decorah Robotics Club is coached by Brett Wilker with assistance from Riley Buchheit.
