Auditions for the New Minowa Players' 2019 Spring Production of "Almost, Maine" will be held at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday and at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at the New Minowa Players building at 806 S. Mill Street in Decorah. Anyone interested need only attend one of the two audition sessions.
Performances of "Almost, Maine" will be April 25th through the 28th. The play explores the question "What does it mean to love someone?" The residents of the unincorporated Maine town of Almost fall in and out of love with each other and themselves as new love is kindled, old love flickers out, and relationships are transformed in the midst of a bleak Maine winter.
Auditions are open to anyone aged 18 or older. There are many roles available in a variety of ages. Commitment is flexible depending on how many scenes one is interested in being a part of.
Everyone interested in auditioning should prepare a 30- to 60-second monologue, come dressed for simple movement, and bring a full list of conflicts between February 6th and April 28th. Those not able to attend the two scheduled audition times should contact the director Aaron Kvale at
kvalaa01@luther.edu to set up an alternative audition time and/or date.
