Are you ready for eight days of below zero temperatures?

Winter has taken a hold on NE Iowa.

The National Weather Service says starting Friday night and running for a total of eight days, low temperatures in Decorah will be below zero.  The coldest temperatures will arrive next Wednesday, when the daytime high temperature will be minus 10 degrees and the nighttime low will sink to 23 below.

Here are the predicted highs and lows for the next eight days in Decorah:

Friday night: low around -12.
Saturday: High near 9, low around -4.
Sunday: High near 8, low around -1
Monday: High near 10, low around -10.
Tuesday: High near -5, low around -21.
Wednesday: High near -10, low around -23.
Thursday: High near -2, low around -4
Friday: High near 4, low around -5
