A new Decorah Community School Superintendent could be named as soon as Monday

On Monday all three final candidates for the Superintendent of Decorah Community Schools are scheduled for interviews, rotating through interview groups at Olin Hall on the Luther College campus. Interim Board Chair Ron Fadness said that the process includes three interview teams of about 25 people each to provide feedback to the Board.

Fadness added, "This will be our third and final round of interviews.  We are looking for an educational leader to continue our pursuit of excellence while preserving our financial position by navigating the intricacies of school finance.  We are fortunate to have a strong group of candidates to choose from."  

The Interim Board will interview the candidates late afternoon on Monday, and then meet at 7:00 p.m. for final review of the candidates. Early planning with the hiring consultant indicated that they could make an offer that night.
