Mark Faldet receives the Outstanding Community Service Award from the Chamber of Commerce

Luther College's Mark Faldet has spent over 32 years as an admissions counselor at the school.

But on Monday, Faldet was recognized for his other contributions to the community, which have ranged from picking up trash on his own to being involved in the Decorah Tree Board and the former Decorah Teen Center.

The Decorah Area Chamber of Commerce presented Faldet Monday with its 2019 Outstanding Service Award in ceremonies at the Luther Peace Dining Room.
