Toys Go 'Round continues to look for a new location

Volunteers for the Toys Go 'Round toy lending library are continuing to look for a new location for the program.  TGR has been located in the Decorah Public Library for the past 27 years, but the Library Board has given TGR until June 28th to move out of the building.

TGR representatives Judy Mowry and Sandhya Purohit Caton met with Winneshiek County supervisors this week to ask the county for a $2,000 grant to help with expenses related to moving to a new location.  The two said TGR would like a space slightly larger than 1,000 square feet.

If the program finds a new location, it would like to add afterschool programs for children.  The Toys Go 'Round board is working on creating a "Toys Go 'Round 2020" document which would set goals for the organization for the future.  But Purohit Caton told county supervisors "the relocation is the tough spot."
