A Waukon family is thanking the public for helping them to recover from a fire which destroyed their home December 1st.

Lucas and Anastasia Rocksvold and their three children lost their home and its entire contents in the fire.  A fire recovery fund was set up at the Farmers and Merchants Savings Bank offices in Decorah and Waukon to help the Rocksvolds.

A letter to the public is now thanking "those who helped us during our fire."  Says the family, "We will never be able to express our appreciation for the kindness, caring, support and generous donations that we received from family, many friends and the community.  Our heartfelt 'thanks' to all the people who offered care, concern and prayers."
