Little damage Friday from building smoke on East Water Street

Smoke was coming from the front door of the business when firefighters arrived.  Firefighters discovered that the smoke was coming from the furnace located in the basement. It was determined there was no active fire.  The smoke was ventilated from the building and the occupants of the business and the upstairs apartment were able to return.
