Who will serve on the Decorah Planning & Zoning Commission? Four people apply for two spots

Decorah City Council members want more time to decide which people to appoint to five-year terms on the city's Planning & Zoning Commission.

The terms of P&Z members Brian Cook and Joel Zook have expired in January.  They have indicated they are willing to serve another term.  However, two other people have also applied to be appointed to the P&Z Commission--Ryan Delaney and Brad Wicks.

Decorah Mayor Lorraine Borowski nominated Delaney and Wicks to replace Cook and Zook on the commission.  However, several city council members did not realize that Cook and Zook had indicated they were interested in being reappointed.

As a result, the issue has been tabled until the next city council meeting on Tuesday, January 22nd.
