The City of Decorah hires its first-ever City Engineer

For the first time in its history, the City of Decorah will have a City Engineer.

City council members on Monday night unanimously approved the hiring of Decorah native Jeremy Bril for the job.  Bril had been working as a projects engineer at Skyline Construction in Decorah.  Before that he was employed by Fehr Graham engineering consultants in West Union.

The new position of City Engineer was created so the city could rely less on outside consultants and have an engineer on staff.

Bril will begin his new job Tuesday, January 29th.
