Accident injures four people

New Year's Eve was an unhappy one for four people involved in an accident on Happy Hollow Road around 6:15 p.m.
The Winneshiek County Sheriff's Office says 88-year-old Bernard Livingood
of Ridgeway lost control of his vehicle on the snow-covered road. His car entered the east ditch and went down an embankment of more than 20 feet. The car then rolled onto the passenger side, trapping all four people inside.

The Decorah Fire Department was called to the scene and extracted all four occupants, who were then transported by ambulance to Winneshiek Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.
The accident caused $2,500 in damages.
