It's official--Decorah native Rob Sand is now Iowa's State Auditor

Decorah native Rob Sand has been sworn into office as the State Auditor for Iowa.  Sand took the oath of office at a ceremony Wednesday at the State Capitol, surrounded by friends and family members.

Following the statehouse ceremony, the 36-year-old Sand announced he's selected a politically diverse leadership team of one Democrat and two Republicans.

"The only thing I want to emphasize today is the three people that I'm going to give the most decision-making responsibility in this office politically represent everyone in the state — Democrat, independent and Republican," Sand said.
