Traffic accident early Christmas morning sends one person to the hospital

One person was injured in a traffic accident on Highway 150 near 140th Street around 12:30 a.m. Christmas Day.

The Winneshiek County Sheriff's Office says light snow was covering the highway as 19-year-old Adam Krieger of Decorah approached a curve.

Krieger lost control and skidded into a ditch. His vehicle rolled once and landed on its wheels. Krieger's passenger was taken by ambulance to Winneshiek Medical Center.
