Decorah Fire Department used infrared sensor on its drone to fight the Nordic Express fire

Decorah firefighters deployed the latest technology Monday morning when called to the Nordic Express convenience store on Montgomery Street to fight a fire.

The Decorah Fire Department's Facebook page says, "We were able to deploy our drone last night to help find hot spots in the roof. This allowed our ventilation team to accurately vent the roof on the hottest area of the structure."
