Waukon man arrested for public intoxication found to be in possession of stolen goods

The Decorah Police Department reports a disturbance on Wednesday night at Decorah Mart led to the arrest of 22-year-old Anthony Williams of Waukon.

Decorah Police officers responded to Decorah Mart after receiving a report of an intoxicated man causing a disturbance shortly before 9:30 p.m. Officers subsequently arrested Williams for public intoxication. During the investigation, officers determined Williams was in possession of stolen property from burglaries reported in Waukon and Postville. Officers also charged Williams with 3rd degree theft and 5th degree theft for possessing stolen property.
