Several pieces of good news for the Toys Go 'Round program

The Toys Go 'Round program still needs to find a new location after spending the last 27 years in the basement of the Decorah Public Library. But the skies are a little brighter for the program in the last week or two. 

First of all, the 100+ Women Who Care and the 100+ Men Who Care groups have announced a final total from their fundraiser last Monday night at Rubaiyat.  A check will be sent to Toys Go 'Round from the group written with a total amount of $11,200.

Next of all, the TGR Board says it has begun to find several possible new physical locations for the program.  The deadline for leaving the Decorah Public Library has now been extended until the end of May, so TGR will have time to consider which possible location is best for the program.

Finally, Toys Go 'Round has started a "Friends" program and is asking people to consider joining the newly-forming "Friends of TGR" group, which will meet to help with special TGR projects.  The Friends group will be made up of former board members, original founding members, local educators, day-care providers and community individuals who recognize the valuable service that TGR provides.
