Winneshiek Medical Center finished the month of October in the black.
The hospital and clinic is reporting a net gain of $71,748 for October (including non-operating revenues). Compared to last October, revenues for WMC were 4.7 percent higher this October. Compared to last October, operating expenses are up 1.7 percent.
Four months into its fiscal year, the hospital is still trying to counter some early financial headwinds. For the fiscal year starting July 1st, Winneshiek Medical has an operating loss of $474,448. With non-operating revenues of $212,471, the net loss is $261,977.
