Ossian man is ticketed following Fayette County accident

The Fayette County Sheriff's Office says an Ossian man was involved in a traffic accident in that county Sunday night.

Fayette County Sheriff's Deputies were called to Garden Road six miles west of Clermont around 11:15 Sunday night.  When they arrived, the driver was not on scene.

They discovered a truck had been driving north when it lost control and went into the west side ditch, striking an electric pole, which temporarily caused the electricity to be out in the area. The truck was a total loss.

After further investigation, it was determined that 33-year-old David Lee Kleppe of Ossian was the driver and only occupant. Kleppe was not injured.  However, he was ticketed for Failure to Maintain Control and for Failure to Use a Seat Belt.
