Register now for upcoming commercial pesticide applicators course program

The Winneshiek County Extension Office will be hosting a Pest Control Operators Continuing Instruction Course for commercial pesticide applicators.

The class itself will be held December 5th, but the deadline for early registration is Wednesday.  The registration fee is $60 on or before Wednesday, and $70 after.  To register or to obtain additional information, contact Winneshiek County office at 563-382-2949.

The course will provide continuing instruction credit for commercial pesticide applicators certified in categories 7A (General Household Pest), 7B (Termite), 8 (Public Health), and 10 (Research and Demonstration). Topics covered will include information on bed bug treatment options; controlling small flies; lumber treatment for termite control; equipment maintenance and calibration; reduction of off-target movement/drift of pesticides; and pests and pest management.
