Lockdown lifted at Winneshiek Medical Center

Winneshiek Medical Center was on lockdown for part of the Thanksgiving weekend.

A hospital spokesperson says the lockdown went into effect Saturday afternoon as a precaution.  The hospital's Facebook page says: "Winneshiek Medical Center received a threat via a phone call. The threat was immediately reported to the Winneshiek County Sheriff's Office."

The lockdown was lifted Monday morning.  All hospital operations, including the Decorah Clinic, are operating at normal conditions as of Monday morning.  Law enforcement officers are continuing to investigate the phone call.
