(Peter e-mails: "I read in the Des Moines Register that many gas mains in Iowa need replacement. What are Decorah gas mains made of and are they at risk?"):
Mr. Answer Person says: "Black Hills Energy has 2,954 miles of natural gas infrastructure in Iowa that is operated and maintained by Black Hills Energy employees. The gas distribution mains serving the City of Decorah are made of materials that comply with Iowa Utilities Board regulations, so, as a result, none of the gas mains within the City of Decorah need upgrading."
