Firefighters handle a grain fire Monday evening

Decorah firefighters were dispatched to a grain fire at 3335 Locust Road Monday evening.

Firefighters assisted in the unloading of the dryer and extinguished the burning corn. The Decorah Fire Department's Tower 1 unit was used to gain access to the top of the dryer. 

Firefighters were on the scene for about 75 minutes and were assisted by Winneshiek County Sheriff's Department.
