Decorah City Council approves more residential tax abatement applications

The Decorah City Council has approved five more residential tax abatement applications
The tax abatement applications involve one for improvements to an existing building:
--Ruth Kath of 502 John Street
There are four applications involving new construction:
--Steve Downing for 2405 Aspen Lane Road
--Steve Downing for 2420 Aspen Lane Road
--Scott Rutman for 1101 Walnut Street
--Tom Massman for 106 Ranchview Court
At its last meeting, the city council approved nine tax abatements for new construction:
--Aaron Dahlen for 1305 Michael Drive
--Jeff Allison for multi-family housing at 2400 & 2402 Red Oak Road
--Jeff Allison for multi-family housing at 2404 & 2406 Red Oak Road
--Wicks Construction for multi-family housing at 503 East Broadway
--Doug Johnson for multi-family housing at 2404 & 2406 Aspen Lane Road
--Jayme Folkedahl for 1206 Walnut Street
--William & Melissa Petz for 2409 Red Oak Road
--Dexter Quandahl for 2407 Red Oak Road
--Bill & Diane Tissue for 805 Serenity Court
The city council also approved seven tax abatements at its last meeting for garages or home improvements:
--Melissa Koch and Matthew Nahan at 305 West Broadway
--Nancy Ulring for 909 Pleasant Avenue
--Barbara and Richard Kellogg for 103 Highland Drive
--Lee Bjerke for 2405 Red Oak Road
--Todd & Lara Schissel for 710 Valley View Drive
--Steve Kelsay for 500 Center Avenue
--Douglas & Shirleen Sturtz for 601 West Main Street
