Radon levels in Winneshiek County average twice the safe level
One of two classes scheduled for Thursday, November 29th to explain radon detection has been filled, but ISU Extension has extended the registration dealine for the second session.
The Winneshiek County Extension and Outreach Office is holding two radon testing programs back-to-back on the 29th. There are still openings in the 7:30 p.m.--8:15 p.m. session at Upper Explorerland, Suite A, 325 Washington Street in Decorah.
Bremer County Extension coordinator Ronald Lenth will be presenting radon detection information and will distribute free publications for everyone to take home. Also, the Winneshiek Extension and Outreach Office will be giving away free radon testing kits to the first 10 participants who register for the session. Radon testing kits also will be available for purchase.
