Decorah man charged with assault

A Decorah man faces a charge of Assault Causing Bodily Injury after Decorah police officers were called to a home on Linden Street in Decorah.

The man, Andrew Hovden, was gone from the home by the time police arrived.  Police spoke with the victim, who had sustained multiple injuries in the assault.

Hovden has now been arrested on the assault charge.  The assault itself took place at 1:30 a.m. Saturday, October 20th.
