Schultz edges Askelson-Kuennen for County Recorder

Tuesday was a day for close elections, including for Winneshiek County.

Independent County Recorder candidate Jayne Schultz just edged Republican Connie Askelson-Kuennen. Schultz had a total of 4,684 votes to 4,595 votes for Askelson-Kuennen--a margin of 89 votes.

Schultz won by just large enough margins in Wards 2 & 5 of the City of Decorah, propelling her to the win.
