2:00pm UPDATE: Voter turnout strong in Decorah

Halfway through the November 6th mid-term election, Decorah poll watchers say turnout has been strong.

As of 2:00 p.m., 265 people had voted in Precinct #3 at Decorah City Hall; 166 people in Precinct #4 at the Courthouse and 330 people combined in Precincts #5 & 6 at Good Shepherd Church.

Poll workers at Good Shepherd report many Luther College students have signed up to vote for the first time, while poll workers at City Hall also say they have signed up a number of new voters.

Polls close at 9:00 p.m. Tuesday.  decorahnews.com will have complete results as soon as they are compiled.
