Stanley Engineered Fastening makes NEICAC energy assistance donation via United Way

The Decorah plant of Stanley Engineered Fastening has found a way to make a difference locally.

Stanley had a LP tank that was no longer needed and it contained a significant amount of LP. They decided to donate the LP, or its value, to the United Way of Winneshiek County, more specifically to one of the United Way's participating agencies, Northeast Iowa Community Action Corporation (NEICAC).

Fencl Oil agreed to pump out the LP and pay market price for it. The LP was valued at $3,500, so Stanley, through the United Way, gave that money to NEICAC for use in the energy assistance program.
