Woman crashes into a Decorah motel

A Minnesota woman hit the gas pedal instead of the brake on her car--and as a result her car crashed into the side of the Country Inn & Suites in Decorah Thursday night.

Decorah Police say 53-year-old Tammy Rysavy of Austin, Minnesota was trying to park her car when her foot slipped and she hit the gas pedal.  As a result, her car crashed into room 114 of the hotel.  Rysavy then backed her car out of the wreckage of the building, parked it in a parking spot and called police.

Rysavy was not injured.  No tickets were issued.  The accident did an estimated $8,000 in damages.
