Two top Iowa Republicans will be visiting Decorah before the November 6th election.

Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds will be in Decorah Friday, November 2nd.  She will hold a "Meet & Greet" at 8:30 a.m. at the Family Table Restaurant on Mechanic Street.

Reynolds has a schedule of similar events lined up in a number of other Iowa towns preceding the Decorah visit, including stops in Storm Lake, Sioux City, Jefferson, Pella, Oskaloosa and Ottumwa.

Reynolds has served as governor of Iowa since 2017, when then-governor Terry Branstad was appointed to be the United States Ambassador to China. She had been serving as Lieutenant Governor since 2011.  Prior to that, she served in the Iowa Senate, getting elected to that position after  serving as Clarke County Treasurer for four terms.

Also coming to Decorah next week--on Thursday morning--is Acting Iowa Secretary of Agriculture Mike Naig, who was appointed to his job after former Ag Secretary Bill Northey resigned to become U.S. Under Secretary of Agriculture for Farm and Foreign Agricultural Services in the Trump Administration.

Details of Naig's visit are still being finalized, but he will be in town Thursday morning, November 1st.
