Gregory and Victoria Fields, enthusiastic supporters of Luther College in the Chicagoland area for decades, will receive the "Spirit of Luther Award" at Luther on Friday. Luther President Paula Carlson will recognize the couple and present the award.
"Greg and Vickie Fields have been extraordinarily generous in sharing their time and resources as ambassadors and volunteers on behalf of Luther College. Together they embody what the Spirit of Luther Award is all about," President Carlson said.
The Fields live in South Holland, Illinois. Greg is a 1977 Luther graduate and a regent emeritus, having served on the Luther College Board of Regents from 2005 to 2017. Vickie served as a vice president at Bank of America before her recent retirement. Over the years the Fields have co-hosted and attended numerous Luther events and gatherings in their area for the admissions, alumni and development departments and served on several Luther committees. Recruiting prospective students to come to Luther and encouraging alumni of all ages to support their alma mater have been the consistent focus of their efforts.
