Nineteen DHS Students Selected to the 2018 All-State Music Festival

19 Decorah High School musicians have earned spots in upcoming All-State ensembles.
 
Selected to All-State choruses were Jackson Berlage, tenor; Ally Bouska, alto; Finn Deen-Lester, bass; Cameron DeLong, tenor; Isaac Fish, bass; Lillian Grouws, alto; Christian Johnson, bass; Leila Johnson, soprano; Nolan Jostand, tenor; Sydney Landstrom, soprano; Ruby Langholz, soprano; Annette Leschensky, alto; Noah Lovelace, tenor; Emma Rooney, alto and Lily Smith, soprano.  Tenor Sam Wilson was selected as a first alternate.  Selected for a recall audition were Audrey Casterton, soprano; Sara Gehling, soprano; Thomas Hendrickson, bass; Lily Humpal, alto and Abby Pedlar, alto.

Selected to All-State bands or orchestras were Sarah Pedlar, flute; Peter Wilson, euphonium; and Cassidy Carolan, clarinet.  Bass trombonist Solomon Thompson was selected as a first alternate.  Violinist Mya Sullivan was selected for a recall audition.
