Two-vehicle accident causes $6,000 of damage

The Winneshiek County Sheriff's Office reports two people were involved in a motor vehicle accident Tuesday afternoon.

The report states 61-year-old Brian Franzen of Decorah was traveling east on Highway 52 and making a left turn onto Middle Calmar Road. 17-year-old Jessica Ling of Ossian was behind Franzen, failed to slow down, and struck Franzen in the rear. No ambulance transport was needed. Ling was cited for failure to maintain control. The collision caused $6,000 of damage.
