City approves Oneota Drive Bridge Replacement Project and planning services for Locust Road Improvement Project

The City Council has approved their portion, of up to $257,750, for the replacement of the Oneota Drive Bridge. This is an Iowa DOT funded project, and the DOT will cover up to $1,000,000 of the project.

McClure Engineering will be the project contractor. They also were engaged by the City Council  for $10,996 to do preliminary planning and design concepts for the Locust Road Improvement Project. One council member expressed appreciation that McClure wanted to involve the community in consultation regarding the project, rather than simply defer to the council or city departments.
