Longtime Decorah HS employee named to the Parson College Wall of Honor

Decorah educator Cindy Albers has just been inducted into the Parson College Wall of Honor.

Albers taught Physical Education for 42 years, with 39 of those years in the Decorah School district, where she coached softball, basketball and volleyball.

She has earned awards from the Iowa High School Athletic Association, the Iowa Basketball Coaches Association and the Iowa Football Coaches Association.

Albers is currently retired, but continues to help at high school and middle school athletic events.  She is also a member of the Decorah Park and Recreation Board, serving for 27 years.

Cindy is married to Mark Albers, has three children and four grandchildren.
