One of the members of the Winneshiek Medical Center Board of Trustees has submitted her resignation.
Judy Robinson served 29 years in the Army as a Medical Service Corps Officer, including command positions in the 44th Medical Brigade during Desert Shield/Desert Storm. She has had several overseas assignments, including ones to Germany and Honduras. Her awards include two Legion of Merits, Bronze Star Medal, seven Meritorious Service Medals, three Army Commendation Medals, a Joint Service Achievement Medal and three Army Achievement Medals.
When she wanted to retire, she returned to Decorah, which was where she was born on a farm between Decorah and Waukon and where she attended Luther College.
Now, however, Robinson has been offered an assignment to come out of retirement and head to Germany again. She has accepted that three-year assignment, but says she plans to return to Decorah once again after the assignment ends. In the meantime, she has submitted her resignation from the WMC Board.
