New Minowa Players will be staging two different performances this fall. The annual children's show will be performed at New Minowa Players Theatre October 18th through the 21st and "Ordinary Days" will be performed at Winneshiek Wildberry Winery November 1st through the 4th.
"Genie in the Sand" is this year's children's show. Starring 23 children ages 7 through 13, the story tells of wishes magically being granted and the problems that ensue. The show will be performed Thursday through Saturday, October 18th through the 20th, at 7:00 p.m. each night, and Sunday, October 21st at 2:00 p.m. "Genie in the Sand" lasts approximately one hour. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children and are currently available at Oneota Community Co-op and online at newminowaplayers.org.
"Ordinary Days" is a refreshingly honest and funny musical about making real connections in the city that never sleeps (but probably should at some point.) It will be presented concert style. Tickets are $35 for dinner theatre and $20 for theatre only. Additional information is available at www.newminowaplayers.org. Tickets will also be available at Oneota Community Food Co-op beginning October 22nd. "Ordinary Days" will be presented Thursday, November 1st through Saturday, November 3rd at 7:30 p.m., with dinner beginning at 5:30 p.m., and Sunday, November 4th at 2:00 p.m., with dinner beginning at 12:00 noon.
