The School Administrators of Iowa organization says North Winneshiek and Postville school superintendent Tim Dugger was a nominee for the 2018-19 Iowa Superintendent of the Year award.

Dugger has served as superintendent at North Winneshiek Community School District since 2004.  He provided leadership and support to the school board, staff and community through the consolidation process with the Decorah Community School District.  North Winneshiek and Decorah will be fully consolidated on July 1st.

Dugger has been a shared superintendent between North Winneshiek and the Postville school districts since 2016.  At Postville, Dugger has helped to handle the school district's rapid growth over the past few years.

Dugger commented, "I have enjoyed the many years of administrative work and the school districts I have worked for have many dedicated staff members. Their care and compassion for young people have made a difference in many lives. When it comes to education, it truly is a team effort."

Winterset Community School District Superintendent Susie Meade was named the 2018-19 Iowa Superintendent of the Year.
