Semi trailer damages traffic light on Water Street

The Decorah Police Department reports the traffic light on the corner of Mechanic and Water Street was damaged on Tuesday morning.

60-year-old Dennis Caldwell of Koshkonkong, MO was driving a semi with a trailer north on Mechanic Street.  He attempted to turn right onto Water Street, but during the turn the trailer struck the traffic light on the corner, causing $800 worth of damage. No injuries were reported.
