Mr. Answer Person says: "The letter by the mayors has drawn strong reaction from both sides in the Menards debate.  That makes posting the mayors' letter a good idea.  Click on the link to read the letter.

There's been one new development relating to the letter from the mayors.  It now appears the letter was NOT signed by all eight mayors.  Three of the mayors-Mae Schmitt of Jackson Junction, Paul Stevens of Ridgeway and Bill Green of Ossian-did not attend the meeting at which the letter was discussed.  There names were listed on the letter--but they did not sign it."
