September was another wet month in Decorah

The rain keeps coming!
Decorah meteorologist Richard Bernatz says September precipitation in Decorah was 9.35 inches--5.71 inches more than average. That means that for the 126 years for which weather records have been kept in Decorah, Spetember of 2018 was the 5th wettest September on record. Bernatz says there were 11 days in September in Decorah with measurable precipitation (the average is 9 days).
September temperatures were warmer than normal. The monthly average temperature of 65.0 degrees was 2.94 degrees warmer than average. That made September of 2018 the 25th warmest September in 126 years of records.
