Menards proposal gets support from two local organizations

Two local organizations have gone on record as supporting the Menards application to rezone property on Old Stage Road for a new store.
 
A new organization of all mayors in Winneshiek County has thrown its support behind the proposal, according to Spillville Mayor Michael Klimesh.  "We all stand to benefit from Menards," says Klimesh.  The formal letter from the Winneshiek County Coalition of Mayors is on file in the Decorah City Clerk's Office.

Also, the board of Decorah Jobs has voted unanimously in favor of the Menards proposal.  The board cited an increase in jobs and economic vitality for Decorah as the reason for its support.  The letter from Decorah Jobs is also on file in the Decorah City Clerk's Office.
