The Winneshiek County Sheriff's Office says it has now served arrest warrants for class A felony 1st degree murder on Dalton Adam and Jacob Seelinger, two Northeast Iowa residents accused of assaulting 46-year-old David Hansen of Decorah on July 12th. Hanson died Friday, August 31st, at Gundersen Health Systems in La Crosse from injuries he sustained in that assault.
Both subjects are still in custody in the Winneshiek County Jail. Bond for each of them has been set at one million dollars cash.
Seelinger is scheduled to appear in court for a hearing next Tuesday, September 25th. Adam is scheduled to next appear in court on October 23rd for a pretrial conference. District Judge Richard Stochl has now been assigned to Adam's case.
