Winneshiek Medical Center Decorah Clinic is offering Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I) in group sessions.
The sessions will meet once a week for five weeks beginning October 10th, running from 4:00 p.m. until 4:55 p.m. each time. The sessions will present strategies to change sleep thoughts and behaviors, lifestyle habits that improve sleep, and relaxation techniques. "The goal of the group is to help our patients identify how to develop good habits and behaviors that keep them sleeping well," says Mayo Clinic Health System psychologist and group facilitator Claire Haedike.
Anyone interested in the new cognitive behavioral therapy group for insomnia should check with their individual insurance provider to confirm coverage. For more information or to arrange a consultation, contact Winneshiek Medical Center Decorah Clinic at 563-382-2911.
