A 20-year-old Calmar resident was ticketed Wednesday following a two-vehicle accident on 295th Avenue at Highway 24 near Jackson Junction.

Kristen Fravel of Calmar was heading north on 295th Avenue when a semi in front of her driven by 62-year-old Wayne Schmitt of Waucoma slowed for a stop sign.  Fravel struck Schmitt's vehicle from behind.

No ambulance transport was needed. Fravel was cited for failure to stop in assured clear distance and failure to provide proof of financial liability.  The accident caused an estimated $2,500 in damages.
