State Representative candidate Kayla Koether endorsed by Iowa State Education Association

The Iowa State Education Association has endorsed Iowa House District 55 candidate Kayla Koether of Decorah.

Said ISEA President Mike Beranek, "We believe Kayla Koether will do what is best for all of Iowa's students regardless of zip code in which they live and be a voice for education professionals as important decisions are made that impact our students and our public schools."

Said Koehter, "Like others in northeast Iowa, I was disappointed that my opponent, Michael Bergan, backed a budget that underfunded our schools and weakened our commitment to education in favor of tax incentives for special interests and disproportionate tax cuts for Iowa's wealthiest. That isn't what he promised to do when he was elected."
