Car vs. deer collision causes $5,000 of damage

The Decorah Police Department reports 41-year-old Kelly Coopola of Decorah was driving west on Hwy 9 when a deer ran out from the ditch on the eastbound shoulder, crossed 4 lanes of traffic, and was struck by Coopola's 2011 Toyota Sienna van.
The collision caused $5,000 of damage to the vehicle's front bumper, hood, fender, and windshield. No injuries were reported.
