Murder trial of Decorah man will likely be delayed

A pretrial hearing scheduled for Monday in Cresco in the case of 34-year-old Brian Fullhart of Decorah, who is facing charges of first-degree murder and going armed with intent, was canceled at the last minute.  That makes it unlikely that Fullhart's trial will be held as scheduled later in the month.

Fullhart was taken into custody March 1st after Cresco Police responded to a 9-1-1 call which reported a shooting at 700 South Elm Street.  Fullhart was eventually taken into custody.  Officers then entered the home and located the body of a woman who was later identified as Fullhart's wife, 34-year-old Zoanne Fullhart of Decorah.

Fullhart is currently in custody at the Winneshiek County Jail because of construction to a new jail in Cresco.
