Calmar man arrested following chase at Casey's in Freeport

Decorah Police officers were dispatched to the Casey's store on Old Stage Road around 1:45 Thursday afternoon because of a report of a possible disturbance in the parking lot.

When officers arrived, they identified 24-year-old Nicholas Kuntz of Calmar and learned he had a valid arrest warrant out of another county in Iowa.  Officers attempted to arrest Kuntz, but he fled on foot.  He was caught after a short chase and placed in custody.

Kuntz was taken to the Winneshiek County Jail and charged with Interference with Official Acts.
